Travelling with children: the child seat on a transfer
Heading to the airport with children? Then the child seat is as essential an item as passports and boarding passes. The good news: you do not have to lug one around — a single click during booking orders it, and we install it in the vehicle before you arrive. Here is everything you need to know about travelling with kids.
What the law says
Slovak law (Act No. 8/2009 Coll.) is clear: a child under 150 cm in height must ride in a child car seat or on a booster matching their weight. Similar rules apply in Hungary, Austria and Poland — in other words, on all our routes. We cannot carry a child without a seat, not even for a short stretch: this is about safety, not formality.
How to order a seat
Simple — right in the online booking:
- In the Extras step tick child seat and choose the quantity.
- In the note, add your child’s age and approximate weight — based on that we prepare an infant carrier, a seat or a booster.
- We install the seat in the vehicle before departure — you just arrive and buckle in your little traveller.
The child seat is charged separately according to the price list of extras — you see the exact amount during booking, before you pay.
Practical tips for travelling with children
- Night departures are surprisingly comfortable with kids — they sleep through most of the journey and arrive at the airport rested.
- Sit next to your child — we are happy to arrange the minibus seating at boarding.
- We take prams too — mention a foldable pram in the note and we reserve boot space for it.
- Breaks en route — longer journeys include a refreshment stop; with small children we can adjust its timing.
