Luggage on a transfer: sizes, skis and snowboards

A suitcase, a hand bag, skis — will it all even fit? It will. The luggage compartment of our minibuses is built for airport runs, but fair rules must be clear up front. In this article you will find the exact sizes, the fees for oversized luggage and tips on transporting skis or a snowboard without a single scratch.

What your ticket includes

Every seat comes with 1 travel bag up to 20 × 40 × 60 cm free of charge — a standard medium suitcase of the kind you would fly with for a week. On top of that, feel free to bring a small hand bag into the cabin with documents, your phone and snacks for the road.

Oversized and extra luggage: +5 €/piece

Anything beyond the free allowance simply needs to be marked in the extras during booking:

• a second suitcase or any further travel bag,
• skis and ski boots in a bag,
• a snowboard,
• a golf bag or other oversized sports gear.

Each such piece is +5 €. Because it is declared in advance, the driver knows exactly how much space to set aside — and your gear never ends up stranded on the pavement.

How luggage travels

The Ford Tourneo and Toyota Proace City minibuses have a separate luggage compartment away from the cabin. The driver loads and unloads your bags — you only look after your boarding passes. Fragile items (camera, laptop) are best kept with you in the hand bag.

Prams, pets and special cases

• Foldable pram — mention it in the booking note and we prepare space for it.
• Pet — travels in a carrier; the fee is in the price list of extras.
• Genuinely bulky cargo (a bicycle, an instrument in a hard case) — write ahead to info@silverline.sk and dispatch will check the capacity of your departure.

Ski trip? Consider a private transfer

A whole crew heading to the mountains or the airport with full winter gear? With a private transfer the vehicle is entirely yours — skis, snowboards and suitcases all load without counting pieces. Especially popular is the Košice – Kraków route via Zakopane: gear loaded at your front door, unloaded right by the hotel.
